      Star Pawn is a family owned pawn shop. The principal owner Don Parnell has been associated with the pawn business since the early 1980’s when he was a principal / investor in what is now a New York stock exchange listed company and is currently the largest pawn type company in the world. Star Pawn is the third shop in which Mr. Parnell has had a direct ownership position; the two earlier shops were located in Wichita, Kansas and were sold by Mr. Parnell in 2002. Star Pawn has been in its current location in Joshua, Texas since June of 2003. Star Pawn has an associated company, DEW Computing, which repair and sells computers and provides related computer service. Star Pawn also does payday loans and internet sales.
